Leyland Trucks has celebrated the production of its 400,000th commercial vehicle at its Leyland assembly facility. The vehicle, a DAF XF tractor unit, was handed over to Carr’s Flour of Silloth as the vehicle rolled off the production line.

Work is underway to improve the tank roundabout on the A582 at the junction of Flensburg Way and Penwortham Way.

The roundabout on the A582, at the junction of Lostock Lane and Stanifield Lane, will close temporarily overnight during part of August to allow resurfacing work to be carried out safely and with minimum disruption.
