Powering our future workforce

TeenTech and the Lancashire Digital Skills Partnership helping to engage young people during the lockdown half-term.

Over the past month, TeenTech with the Lancashire Digital Skills Partnership (LDSP) has delivered TeenTech Innovation Live (for students aged 11-19) and TeenTech City of Tomorrow Live sessions (for students aged 8-13) to hundreds of students across Lancashire!

Due to the success of the programme and continued demand from young people, teachers and parents, TeenTech and LDSP are delighted to announce that they are making these sessions available again during half-term, as well as a few extras!

INSPIRA are working in partnerships with back to work training to enhance your knowledge and digital skills with a FREE Digital Skills course with a FREE TABLET.

This course will give you the confidence and the information in order to pursue a successful career in Digital media or the  IT sector.

The criteria needed in order to access the training is:

  • Must already have a PC or laptop
  • Must complete a maths and English course
  • Must be 19 or older from the 31 Aug 2019
  • Must be claiming some form of benefits.

After you have passed and completed the course then you will receive the free tablet

Full guidance and support will be provided throughout.

Kickstart scheme

The kickstart scheme is a government initiative that provides funding to employers to create job placements for 16 – 24 year olds. This is a six month placement to help young people to develop their skills and provide them with work experience. 

Employers and jobseekers can find out more about the Kickstart scheme via the government website.

Apprenticeship Vacancies

DWP Digital have just launched their digital and technology apprenticeships, giving you the opportunity to earn while you learn.

If you’re successful, you’ll get:

  • A starting salary of £27,000 plus benefits
