A MASTERPLAN outlining proposals to build more than 850 new homes, community and employment facilities has been approved by the Council.

The borough has scooped three prestigious Green Flag Awards – the gold standard for parks and open spaces – for Worden Park in Leyland, Longton Brickcroft Nature Reserve, and Hurst Grange Park in Penwortham.

South Ribble Borough Council is hosting a recruitment day for Lunar Caravans Ltd on Monday 17th July.

From Monday 10 July to Saturday 7 October, vehicles on the A582 will not be able to turn right onto Pope Lane from either direction. The A582 itself remains open during this time.

The International Trade Club are inviting manufacturing companies to join them for breakfast at the Dunkenhalgh on the 13th July.

Thousands of visitors are expected to take part in Leyland Festival on Saturday 17th June.
