The next phase of work to widen a section of the A582 in South Ribble into a dual-carriageway is due to begin after Easter.
Work will begin to widen the southern section of Golden Way between from Cop Lane to the Broad Oak roundabout, close to Booths Supermarket.
Road-widening work has recently been completed on the northern section of Golden Way, from Cop Lane towards Preston.
As part of this latest stage, there'll also be a new toucan crossing for pedestrians and cyclists at the Broad Oak Lane roundabout and a new shared use cycle/footway along Millbrook Way and Cop Lane, linking to the existing cycle facilities at Broad Oak Lane roundabout and Hurst Grange Park.
This work is expected to be completed in November. The site compound for this work has been constructed close to the Broad Oak roundabout.
The A582 is one of Central Lancashire's busiest roads. This work is aimed at relieving congestion and encourage economic growth across the Preston and South Ribble area. It was recently widened to two lanes in each direction from Cop Lane towards Preston. This included changing the road layout and introducing traffic signals on the Oaks Wood (Leyland Road) roundabout.
