Work started in May 2014 to improve the A582, one of the main routes into Preston, which currently suffers from significant congestion at peak times of the day.
Lancashire County Council is holding a consultation from Monday 2nd February to Sunday 15th March 2015 on the preferred way of widening one of central Lancashire's busiest roads.
Upgrading the A582 to a dual carriageway between Cuerden and Preston city centre and the B5253 south to Longmeanygate is one of the four road schemes included in the Preston, South Ribble and Lancashire City Deal.
The dates and times of local events for the public consultation on the preferred way to widen the A582 in South Ribble have been published on the Lancashire County Council website. To find out more or take a look at the plans please visit
