A business in Leyland which operates a website for holiday accommodation bookings has secured investment from Lancashire County Council's Rosebud Fund.
iknow-UK, which was founded in 2003, has taken on six new staff as a result of the investment and is recruiting for four more roles. The aggregator site, which allows visitors to book directly with accommodation providers or through one of its partner sites, currently employs 22 staff.
Paul Taberner of Enterprise Ventures, which manages the fund, said: "After 11 years in the business, iknow-UK knows exactly what its visitors are looking for. It is able to offer them the widest choice of accommodation and makes it easy for them to book. The Rosebud funding will help it grow the business by further developing the team."
Rosebud is managed by Enterprise Ventures on behalf of Lancashire County Developments.
