Supporting Business Networks & Events

WIN – Women’s International Network

Launched last week with a huge amount of interest from business and Government.  The rolling programme has been designed to increase the participation of women-led businesses in international trade with virtual training, business mentoring, panel discussions and peer to peer networking opportunities. We’re offering a structured and supportive environment for women to grow their businesses and realise their international potential.  I have attached a partner pack and the registration link can be found here:  https://www.events.great.gov.uk/WIN-23-24/

*each cohort is limited to 50 places and recruitment will take place every 6 months.

Japan Day - International trade

23 February 2024 10:00-15:00 - UCLan

North & Western Lancashire Chamber of Commerce in partnership with the University of Central Lancashire and the Department for Business and Trade are honoured to welcome to Preston our special guest: Mr. Hideo YURA - Director General, JETRO, London

JETRO (Japan External Trade Organization) works to promote mutual trade and investment between Japan and the rest of the world.

We would like to invite both existing and new exporters to join us to hear about trading with Japan from our speakers.

  • Representatives from the Embassy of Japan in London.
  • Lancashire companies speaking about their experiences in the Japanese market.
  • Department for Business and Trade who have recently returned from a trade mission representing the Northern Powerhouse.
  • North & Western Lancashire Chamber on support for international business.
  • UCLan staff and students outlining their cultural connections with Japan.

Businesses aiming to enter or expand in Japan may find differences in social and business customs daunting. There will be an opportunity to network and learn from our Japanese representatives as well as colleagues from UCLan and other Lancashire businesses with experience in the market.

Book your place via our website now – we look forward to seeing you there.
